CMS pole racks have an exceedingly long service life. For safety reasons we encourage our past customers to take advantage of our complimentary safety and service life inspection after 20 years of service. During this inspection, we will visually evaluate all racks for engineered compliance and evaluate the changing needs of the yard. CMS will then make recommendations to the utility on bringing the racks up to current safety standards and what is needed for yard efficiency. Many times, the major components of the racking system can be refurbished and reused saving significant cost expenditures. We have found that refurbishment can extend the safe service life of the racks for up to 10 years.
