We installed the CMS pole racks at two new locations. One was a new office and the other is a new pole storage yard. The best thing we have found about the racks is the configurability of the system. Between the design and installation, the layout changed significantly, but the racks were already ordered. There were no problems moving them around to meet the new layout of both locations. If more changes are necessary in the future, it is no problem to move the racks around to meet those needs.

The City of Tallahassee Florida recently had the CMS Pole Rack System installed for our inventory of poles from 35' to 65'. The level of service we received Glenn Wilson exceeded our expectations, Glenn made a visit to our yard looked at our needs listened to our concerns then provided us with a potential lay out plan of our pole yard and explained how his system could improve the time spent by our 13 line crews loading poles for jobs. He also designed our yard with safety being at the forefront of this whole project. The completion of this project was on time and was delivered as promised. The line crews really like that the poles our close to the ground and spaced out to allow crews to load poles without waiting for other crews to get done. We liked the design so much we are now considering using this design for our street light pole storage as well as our 20' PVC pipe inventory. The CMS pole rack will improve safety and drastically reduce the footprint of your laydown yard.

CMS Pole Storage System and yard design has contributed greatly to the safety and improvement of LG&E/KU storage/pole yard management. With the increase in distribution pole replacement projects and transmission line upgrade and expansion projects our old yard designs and pole racks were becoming unsafe and insufficient to keep pace with demand. We were starting to have safety problem from poles rolling off stacks of old home-made pole racks. There were two incidents where poles being removed from a pile and loaded on to trailer when poles started rolled off onto individuals causing injury. And we experienced incidents where poles rolled on to trucks outriggers causing damage or creating near misses. CMS portable/modular system allowed us to renovate our yards and improving yard safety and give us greater flexibility in moving the racks to accommodate the increase demand and changes in layouts. We have also undergone transmission poles and H-frame structures moving from wood to steel. The change required our yards to accommodate multiple pieces for a steel pole as compared to one long wood pole. The CMS system allowed us to disassemble and reassemble the pole racks and relay out the yards to accommodate increased steel pole pieces. CMS not only provided a new pole rack system but also designed our yard layout. We used CMS Pole Storage System in 10 of our yards and CMS helped us reconfigure them. By modeling the yard size and traffic, it allowed them to design the best layout. Their layout design ensured the poles delivery and crews loading in the safest and most efficient and effective way. We not only use rack system for storing wood and steel poles but also fiberglass and steel light poles, gas pipes and conduits.

We received the and submitted our first PO in Feb. 2012. But due to state regulations we had to cancel. Your company had already proceeded with the contract, and let us know that you had. Your company checked in from time to time about the progress, but you were never pushy or unprofessional in any way. So for 5 years you had your money tied up in material you didn't need and couldn't use elsewhere and you were nothing but kind. Your staff arrived as planned and installed with nothing but professionalism. We had some last minute changes that were handled in the most professional manner and we look forward to using these racks. So far we haven't placed but a few of the fiberglass poles, the true positive sign is when we get all the dividers (last minute change) and place the wood poles so that stock can be rotated. We have been using the pole racks for about 10 years, they made our pole yard safer by not allowing the poles to roll off the rack. They have also helped us with inventory, making it easier to count the poles and since they are easy to move it has allowed to change the layout of our pole yard to make it more efficient.
